Happy National Dog Day! Meet the Dogs of Rinehart Bryant

National Dog Day is August 26. An entire holiday, dedicated to dogs, and we are taking full advantage of it.

Rinehart Bryant is a dog-loving firm, and we have the photos to prove it. Eight dogs belong to the people who work here, which is a lot of dogs for an office this size.

Here they are.

Bentley and Gunner

Bentley and Gunner belong to legal assistant Ashley Laganga. They come as a package deal. One of them always listens. The other one is also very cute.

Domino

Domino, the Great Dane belonging to Rinehart Bryant attorney Rebecca Medina, stretched out on a rug

Domino belongs to attorney Rebecca Medina. Great Danes are technically dogs, but Domino is closer to a roommate who pays no rent. The rug, the couch, and most of the hallway are already spoken for.

Hattie

Hattie belongs to Emily Link, our office manager. Hattie is a chocolate lab with strong opinions about beach days. Her tongue came out at the first wave and never went back in.

Olive

Olive belongs to family law attorney Libby Baughan. Those ears pick up everything, including a treat bag opening two rooms away.

Ollie

Ollie, the yellow lab belonging to Rinehart Bryant founding attorney John Bryant, lying on the grass

Ollie belongs to John Bryant, our founding attorney. Ollie found the best patch of grass around, claimed it on the spot, and has no regrets.

Percy

Percy, the terrier belonging to Rinehart Bryant attorney Caitlyn Stubbs, standing beside a table

Percy belongs to attorney Caitlyn Stubbs. Percy has worked out the exact spot where his face clears the table edge, and he holds that position. Nobody finishes a meal at that table without sharing.

Tate

Tate, the chocolate lab belonging to Rinehart Bryant Spotsylvania receptionist Emily Reighard, asleep on a couch

Tate belongs to Emily Reighard, the receptionist at our Spotsylvania office. Tate takes rest very seriously, and the blanket, the couch, and the rest of the afternoon are all claimed. He is also our second chocolate lab, which means both of them belong to an Emily.

Why a law firm is posting about dogs

Family law is heavy work. The people who call us are usually having one of the harder years of their life, and they are trusting us with their children, their home, and their savings at the same time. That is the job, and we take it seriously.

Family law is also why the dogs matter more here than they might somewhere else. A firm that handles custody and divorce all day needs people who go home to something warm, and the ones who last in this work tend to be the ones who have that. You cannot sit with somebody else’s worst week, week after week, on an empty tank.

The people behind them

If you have worked with our office, you have probably met a few of these owners without knowing what was waiting for them at home. You can meet the attorneys and staff at Rinehart Bryant on our about page, or read about how we work with clients if you are deciding whether to call.

And if you are facing a divorce or a custody question in Stafford, Spotsylvania, or Fredericksburg, you can contact our office to talk it through. We will not put a dog on the phone, but everything else we can help with.

Happy National Dog Day from Bentley, Gunner, Domino, Hattie, Olive, Ollie, Percy, Tate, and the rest of us.
